I’m looking for help translating an 1873 death record, held by the Polish State Archive (https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl/en/jednostka/-/jednostka/14210796, scan 23 of 33, record #6 on bottom right). Indexed by LitvakSIG, I originally found it via JewishGen, where info shows as: Name of deceased Girsh KOVENSKI, parents Iudel & Ienta. Died at age 65.

Town of SEIRIJAI, in modern-day Lithuania. I think in 1873 this was part of the Russian Empire, and that record is in Russian.

I believe this Girsh is my G.G.G grand-parent.

I’d like help translating the full record. I previously found that a record we thought was our direct ancestor had text that read “died without descendants”, which would mean they couldn't be our direct ancestor. So I’m seeking a *full* translation, if possible, not just the names/dates.

Hi! Turns out this is in 3 languages:

Hebrew, Lithuanian, and Yiddish.

This death record is for Ethel/Estera Rogalsky, my G.G. grandmother. Original is in LVIA: https://eais.archyvai.lt/repo-ext/view/284004664

Since there are some date and name discrepancies between the three language, I'm seeking help translating the full text, all fields, from all three languages. If you can help with any of that, it would be so appreciated.

(Also, the gravestone that seems likely to be hers was also uploaded to ViewMate recently, with a Hebrew date corresponding to Feb 2 1922. I visited it last week, and it was so exciting to find and uncover the date!)

7/29/2026 4:26 PM Four crops from one Jewish birth register, same clerk throughout. Panel A is a known, undisputed SALZ. Panels B and C are the mother's maiden surname in two acts of the same family — act 128 of 1903 and act 107 of 1905 — reading "Reisel geb. [?] rituell an Menasche Mandel, Handl. Tochter des Simmer a. der Feige, Händler in Bóbrka." Panel D gives the whole of column 7 for context.

My question is narrow: in panels B and C, is the maiden surname the same word as panel A — that is, is it SALZ? If not, what do you read?

I would much rather have "cannot be determined" than a confident guess — this bears on a citizenship application and the reading needs to be reliable.

7/29/2026 4:25 PM This is the death record of Zacharjas Josef GOLDMAN, recorded in Lublin on August 21, 1936. I'm trying to find his date of death. I see October 1st (which makes no sense) and then I can't translate the next four words and then I see the word "year".

7/29/2026 4:24 PM The last line of this page contains a birth record listing for Anna Frater, daughter of Jonas Frater and Kathi/Katarina (nee Neufeld).

I can see that Anna was born on January 8 1872, but would appreciate as much of a translation as possible, especially any details regarding Anna's birth location/address, Anna's parents' birth location and marriage date/location/address.

Also, if any of my limited basic understanding re: basic name/date information is incorrect, please let me know what should be corrected to be most accurate.

Finally, if anyone knows if a more complete birth record certificate exists for this basic birth record listing/index, I would very much appreciate any help in locating the birth certificate, rather than just this birth record listing/index.

Akta 62 is my great-grandfather’s first-cousin’s husband’s 1864 birth record from Zaręby Kościelne, Łomza, Poland. I would like it translated in full (or at least everything that isn’t the standard wording of a birth record).

Names that I would expect to see in the text are:

- the child: Icko/Icek BERGMAN;
- his father: Yusiek/Yusef BERGMAN;
- his mother: Mariem KRAKOWIAK.

7/26/2026 8:10 PM The date of the marriage, the accurate ages of bride and groom, their parents full names with middle names and ages.Is the groom a 1st or 2nd time marriage or a widower? Which parents are still alive? I know Wolf is from Czyzewo. Family lore has Wolf born as Iciek Akta 18 in 1839 Czyzewo and raised by his aunt Szejna nee Blizniak and uncle Abraham Kopyto. Zelko is the father in this 1877 marriage and was the brother of Abraham, they had the same father Majer. I used AI to translate it and got many errors.
