Hi,
These are the birth and death records of Szmaja Nusbaum from 1833. He was the son of Herszek Nusbaum and the grandson of Izrael Nusbaum, both of whom are mentioned in these records.
Herszek is listed as 'Herszek Izrael Nusbaum', so I assumed it functioned like 'Herszek Izraelowicz Nusbaum' because of his father’s name. Izrael Nusbaum is listed as 'Izrael Jacob Nusbaum', so I am unsure if I can assume that 'Jacob' meant 'Jacobowicz', or if it might be his middle name.
I would be happy to know if anyone has seen this kind of naming, the father's name used without adding 'wicz'.
In addition, I would like to understand the house number of Izrael Nusbaum that is mentioned in the records.

Like many others most of my family correspondance has been lost after the war. This 4 page letter is one of the very few surviving documents we have. We only have the first half of the first page.
I can read the name of my great-grand father (Aizik) but not much else as I cannot read cursive Russian.
Any help with a translation would be greatly appreciated.

Please find attached what I understand to be a residence registration from Lodz 1920 for Moszek Bergbaum. I am looking for clarification of his mother’s maiden name shown in the section:
“Imiona rodziców i nazwisko panieńskie matki: Izrael i Róża ur. Churska” (“Names of parents and mother’s maiden name: Izrael and Róża, born Churska”). In many years of family research I have never before come across this surname name nor have I found it in any online database; the closest found online is Jorski/Hurski. I would be grateful for (a) confirmation that I have read correctly the original registration as “Churska” and (b) responses from anyone with 19th century records with the “Churska” surname particularly, but not exclusively from Lodz.

Akta 1 is my great-great-grandfather’s first-cousin’s 1863 marriage record from Jabłonka, Łomża, Poland. I would like it translated in full (or at least everything that isn’t the standard wording of a marriage record).
Names that I would expect to see in the text are:
- the bride’s name: Dwera HERYNGER/ERYNGIER;
- her father: Moszko/Mortek HERYNGER, son of Matys HERYNGER and Malka Pesa;
- her mother: Szejna Enia KRÓLEWIECKA, daughter of Boruch KRÓLEWIECKA and Rywka;
- the groom: Chaim Rubin OSOWIECKI;
- his father: Ick;
- his mother: Jospa.
