Surname Цымбалист(ер)а / Cymbalista — in both the margin and the body.
Birth date: 1 / 13 October 1888 — the body reads "[перваго] тринадцатаго октября прошлаго года" (1st/13th October of last year, Julian/Gregorian). That "last year" is the key: the act is being registered in early 1889 (the top date reads roughly 24 Feb / 8 March 1889) for a birth the previous October. So the birth lands squarely on 13 October 1888 — independent confirmation of Jacob's date, from the record itself rather than the index.
Two witnesses were present ("въ присутствіи свидѣтелей …"). |

Hi. The index record for this page indicates Luzer Levkov was both the head of the household and 3 years old. This seems unlikely. Could I get a translation? I'm looking for a Leizer Levkov born around 1870 in Bogopol, father's name on the death record is Isaac. If this boy is 3, who are his parents and who is he living with? |

This is Portuguese from the records of Bevis Marks Synagogue. If possible a full translation would be very helpful. I believe some of the names are abreviated so if you have any insight into what the abbreviations would have typically represented that would be much appreciated. Trying to establish names and family relationships. I believe it's dispute over money! |

My great great grandfather was named Calel Karpenkopf. I have found 3 death registry records in Polish Archives for Calel Karpenkopf, All broadly right location ,right era but none match the date on his alleged grave. One image has been checked out and appears to be for a grandson ie my grandmothers brother.
So the question is who is this calel . A full ar is reasonable translation to identify him and any possible links which might point to my family would be appreciated
