This is a letter that my great-grandfather Jeshaia London wrote from Palestine in June 1924 to his wife Ziporah’s first-cousin Mordechai Josef (Max) Green in Perth, Western Australia. I assume it is about the fact that Jeshaia & Ziporah were planning to emigrate to Perth with their children (Ahuva/Lily, Chasya/Hemda and Huskel). Indeed, they arrived in Perth in December 1924.

I would be grateful if someone could translate it in full. Thanks so much!

8/26/2026 9:15 AM To my Dear (Liba) Cousin Mordechai Yoseph Green live well with your wife and dear children, Firstly I write that we are all B"H in best health and ___ the same for you and your family to hear.__ I can write that I received your letter from 27/5/24 and it gladdened us all to hear from everyone's health. And I thank you very much for your that you informed the government about my wife and you cant imagine what's going on with all of us. Every day by us is a year. My wife needs to ___ __(Lay) in the second month (and) in July when we will get the permit we would be able in travel out in September. I hope that in this time we will have received the permit and in Mid September we will be able to travel. Hope this letter finds you in best health. I don't have what to write anymore. Me and my wife and children send you very warm regards .Regards for Perl(a) and her Husband and children. Warm regards from my mother in law and hope to send you along her reply to your letter. From me your dear cousin that hopes __ ________ and wishes you the best.
