Approval Date: 8/23/2026 5:19 PM Family Surname: Savranski Country: Moldova Town: Chisinau Date of Image: 1937	Click the picture to enlarge	My grandfather, Lev Savranski, was born on September 3, 1909, in Elisavetgrad (Yelisavetgrad) to Jewish parents: Itko-Ansel Savranski and Dobrish. In 1921, the family fled to Chisinau, where they took on a false Christian identity for survival. My grandfather became known as Alexandru Curinai (originally Kurinny / Куринный in Ukraine), and his parents were registered as Sava and Alexandra Curinai.I have recently discovered his original birth record from the Jewish metrical books of 1909 under his real name, Lev Savranski. I am sharing their wedding photo from "Foto Tascher" in Chisinau and I am looking for any information, business records, or connections regarding the Savranski family from Elisavetgrad before 1921.
