this marriage certificate -
1) date of marriage,
2) information of bride and groom (names, ages, professions, previous
marriages),
3) parents information (names, ages, professions).
Thank you! |

This is written on the back of a family photo, supposedly from the Godomiczer or Perelman sides. They lived in Volhynia, in present day Ukraine. Photo should be from around the 1920s. All of Volhynia is a brickwall to me, so I hope there will be some clues in here.
Known shtetls in which they lived include Komarove, Kolki, Rafalovka, Godomicz. If they are Godomiczers, possible first names are Motel (Mordco) or Yosef. Perelmans’ include Kopel and Rywka.
Thank you in advance!

This is page six of the index of Records of the Beth Din of Brody 1808-1817. It is part of a name index at the end of the volume. I am looking for records of the Reisfeld, Lewin and Schmelkes families. I wonder if any of these names appear in the index:
Rabbi Asher Zelig Reisfeld, born around 1795.
Rabbi Asher's son Chaskel Abraham Reisfeld, born on 8 November 1815.
Hersch Naphtali Löwe / Lewin, born around 1784.
Hersch's son Naphtola Löw / Lewin, born around 1811.
Naphtola's son David Leib Löw / Lewin, born 31 October 1831. David Leib married Ruchel Leah Reisfeld, thereby uniting the families.
David Leib and Ruchel Leah's son Nathan married Hudes Schmelkes, daughter of Rabbi Yischak Yehuda Schmelkes who became Rabbi of Lwów. Nathan trained with Rabbi Yischak Yehuda and became Rabbi of Rohatyn and then of Rzeszów.
The Reisfeld, Lewin and Schmelkes families of Brody were religious and they were prosperous. There are likely to be marriage records, property records, wills, etc. |

This is the 4th page of a letter written by my great-grandmother’s cousin Rukhl Leah Levitan. Didn’t think there was a 4th page since she said her regards on the 3rd page. The third page ended with her talking about how she needed help from her family. I will greatly appreciate anyone who can translate this for me. |

The DOD appears to be 14 Jan 1941 which corresponds to 15 Tevet 5701. What is the Hebrew date on this plaque? |
