Translation, please, of this first page of a letter from my grandfather Robert Oling to Mathilde Rosner in Prague. The letter is part of a large file in the Saxon State Archive. Robert was in prison at the time, charged with "speaking against the regime". It appears that the letter was not sent. Thank you. Carol |

Translation, please, of this snip from page two of the birth registration of Nathan Löwÿn, son of David Leib Löwÿn and Rachel Leah Reisfeld. I believe the snip gives details of Nathan's parents' late Civil Marriage Registration in 1880. Thank you. Carol |

This message was written on the back of a postcard showing my great-grandmother, Chaya Perlis Kokel, and her daughter Bella,(Brucha). I would greatly appreciate a translation of the Yiddish. Unfortunately, the writing is difficult to read because of the age of the card and the ink spots. I'm hoping someone can make out what the limited writing says. Thank you for your kind help.

Would like to know date of birth, parents' names (patronymics if available), ages, occupations, address in Targu Ocna, origin outside Romania (I believe they were Austrian citizens), relationship to witnesses, any other genealogically relevant information. The document comes from Bacau County records recently released by the JewishGen Romania Research Division. The link to the high res pdf version is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eCOHwKFhSEfzH7k_4xuQynn1-1UIm09r/view?usp=drive_link (page 155). |

UPDATE: I would like to learn what information is contained in the 6 righthand columns in this doc (links to full item below). I have the information from the 1st columns JewishGen transcribed. This lists family members: Leyba, 32 / Stisya Freyda, wife, 31, children; Samuil, Moysey, Dysya, & Aleksander.
"Ukraine Revision List"
JewishGen search (2nd doc listed):

Shalom!
I read and speak German fluently, but need someone with an expert eye to transcribe the message on the postcard for my cousin. I could then translate it into English myself.
Many thanks to the kind soul who takes on this challenge. My eyes are simply not up to it!
Yours sincerely,
Rob Gartenberg |
