Hello, would appreciate any help translating the Hebrew on tombstone.
The English side says name Ida Lena Levenson, died June 30, 5687 (hard to read) (I think..maybe 1927).
However on Hebrew side, it looks like it may say "Our mother" "Yelena" (?) and I cannot properly distinguish the rest.
I am trying to see if this is my g-g grandmother Lena Levenson, or not.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

9/17/2025 3:57 PM Here lies

our dear mother

CHAVA/CHAYA [?] LEAH

daughter of

Efrayim of blessed memory

She passed away the first day of Rosh Chodesh Tamuz

5687. May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.
---------------------------------------------------
She had a double name: Chavah Leah or Chayah Leah.

Chava is Hebrew for Eve. There is a slight chance that the name might be Chayah, which means living. (The Ch is pronounced as in Chanukah or Bach). The secular name Ida is sometimes "paired" with this Hebrew name, although there are no rules about this.

The second part of her name, Leah [LAY-ah] is a Biblical name. The name Lena might have been chosen for its similarity.

Efrayim [ef-RAH-yim] is a Biblical name.

“Rosh Chodesh”, literally the head of the month, also known as the New Moon, indicates the start of a new month. It can be a one-day or a two-day event. In this case, it was two days, and the first day of Rosh Chodesh of the month of Tamuz was actually the 30th day of the previous month, which was the month of Sivan. In the year 5687, this date began at sunset on June 29th and ended at sunset on the 30th, 1927.
