Bessarabian Databases. Updates ready for everybody at JewishGen. Records are available already.

Below is a list of updates sent to JewishGen. Thank you very much to all volunteers who worked on these Bessarabian projects.


• Vital Records. Soroki and Soroki uezd Birth records from 1895 -1920 (some years). Total of 2,434 records for Soroki and 41 towns, colonies, villages, including Brichevo, Dombroveny, Lyublin, Markuleshty, Vertuzhany and others.

• Revision Lists. 13,215 records completed for 3,019 families. Revisions added for different towns and years, including Kishinev, Brichany, Lomachinets, Vadu-lui-Vlad, and others.

• Jews Involved in Public Life. 483 records added.

43rd IAJGS International Conference, London, July 30 to August 3, 2023 Bessarabia SIG is going to participate in the event. We will have Bessarabia SIG meeting, participate in Share Fair and more. Please join us at the conference.
See Schedule of event related to Bessarabia at the conference. If you are interested in learning more about researching in the Bessarabia region, participate at the Computer Lab. It will help you in your person research.

• Revision Lists records, plan to upload to JewishGen in June of 2023. We have completed 7,953 records from following towns: Kishinev, Brichany, Lomachinets, Orgeev, Soroki, Khotyn, and more. See the progress.


• Vital Records, plan to upload to JewishGen in June of 2023. We have completed 1,595 Birth records from Soroki and 32 towns and villages from Soroki yezd: Markuleshty, Brichevo, Dombroveny, Vertuzhany, and more. See the progress.

We will have Bessarabia SIG meeting, participate in Share Fair, also there are going to be a Computer Lab-Genealogical Research for Bessarabia/Moldova genealogists and more. Jewish Cemeteries. Updates:

• Completed photographing and indexing of Klishkivtsi Old Jewish cemetery. 77 burial records and 77 grave images were sent to JOWBR at JewishGen. The records will be available in June of this year, but you can see now at Bessarabia website the Cemetery report with maps, some photos, and also the Unknown Graves at the cemetery (58). • Revision Lists records, plan to upload to JewishGen in June of 2023. We have completed already more than 6 thousand records from following towns: Kishinev, Brichany, Lomachinets, Orgeev, and more. See the progress.

• A new story added from my very good friend. It is about his grandfather arrested by NKVD, sent to GULAG and perished.
  Isaak Kronfeld - NKVD arrest, interrogation, conviction, killing, rehabilitation.
  

• History, Genealogy, Culture. 13-15 December 2022.
