This is my great-great-great-great-grandfather’s sister’s 1835 marriage record from Rypin, Płock, Poland. I would like it translated in full (or at least everything that isn’t the standard wording of a marriage record).
Names that I would expect to see in the text are:
- the bride: Bajla GROTSZTEYN/GROSSTEIN, daughter of Lewin and Raca.
- the groom: Jozef BARAN.

This is Rose Orloffsky Orloff.
Born around 1898, she arrived in the US sometime around 1913.
She married Fred Goldstein in 1917 in Washington DC. They had a son named Simon.
Fred possibly went to prison and Rose went to live with her sister Sarah Cohen in NY. |

Hi My great/great/grandfather Calel Karpenkopf (may he rest in peace) is buried in Warsaw (Okopowa)cemetary (https://cemetery.jewish.org.pl/id_120443/info/) His grave inscription in Hebrew is "challenging"
JRI-Poland cites a Calel Karpenkopf in 3 death registrations for Warsaw each with links to scanned images of which one from Archiwum Państwowe w Warszawie: Akta zgonów - cyrkuł VI (1892-1898) reference code: 72/200/0/-/108 Item: #146 is the most likely match
If so I would be very grateful for as full atranslation of this image as is reasonably possible

My great-grandfather Abram Moishe Gavrilovich is sitting down on the right.
The other two young men are supposedly his brothers.
Family was from Mogilev, at least that's where they lived in late 1890's. Not sure where from, originally.
The boys' father was Isaak Gavrilovich - a lawyer in Mogilev. He died around 1906 |

Hyman Cohen (b. 1893) was my mother’s uncle, and he is my grand uncle. His mother was Ida (Klickstein) Cohen, and his father was David Cohen - my great grandparents. They were born and married in Russia. They migrated to the United States in 1895 with their four children and then lived in the Boston area. These family members appear in my Gilman-Stanger Family tree on Ancestry.com. Unfortunately for me there were many Hyman Cohens living in Massachusetts in the 20th century. I believe that the Hyman Cohen who is buried in the Pride of Lynn Cemetery with his wife Rose Ankeles (whose maiden name I remember from my youth) may be my relative. For that reason, a translation of the inscriptions on the uploaded headstone image (from the Find a Grave record) would help solve this mystery. If the given name of this Hyman Cohen’s father is not David, he is not my grand uncle. |

Searching for relatives of Liskowitz family. Searching for whereabouts of Harris Liskowitz after 1911. Harris married Ida (Annie) on Ellis Island is on the 1910 census record in New York with wife Ida son Solomon daughter Rosie. Son Kalman was born in 1910. Unable to find Harris in records after 1911. |
