Handwritten letter in Sephardi cursive, on the printed letterhead of the Committee of Rabbis of the Sephardi Community of Safed (Vaad Rabbanei Adat HaSephardim be-Ir HaKodesh Tzfat / Comite des Rabbins de la Communaute Sefaradim a Safed, Palestine). It comes from the archive of Moshe David Gaon at the National Library of Israel, from his file on Rabbi Yeshua (Moshe Yeshua) Palagi of Safed, ARC. 4* 795 05 1057. I would be very grateful for a full transcription and translation. Three points especially: 1. The date line at top right. I read the day as 12 or 13 of Shevat, but I cannot decide the year: does it read Tav-Resh-Peh-Tet (1929) or Tav-Resh-Tsadi-Tet (1939)? 2. The addressee line - to whom is the letter written? 3. The signature at the end. Can it be read? I am trying to establish whether this is the hand and signature of Rabbi Yeshua Palagi himself. Thank you very much.

The date is 13 Shvat 5695 (17 January 1935).
It's addressed to Moshe D Gaon and signed by Yeshua Palachi (הצעיר ישועה פﭏאגׄי ס"ט).

The letter discusses charity funds and the lost writings of Barukh Barzilai, rabbi of Safed in the 17th century. There are a lot of obscure abbreviations, making a full translation difficult.
