Hello,
I would greatly appreciate help with reading and translating the Hebrew inscription on the attached gravestone.
Location: Korczyna Jewish cemetery (Poland)
Grave reference: Sector krczn, row 3, number 24 (marked “24” on the stone)
The stone is quite worn, so any help — even partial readings — would be extremely valuable.

Requesting a transcription of the Hebrew letters (for cut & paste into a document) and a translation of the inscriptions into English. Note: opening and closing abbreviations have been intentionally omitted clipped from this image.

The first record #6 is the Russian/Hebrew marriage record of Abram Shoeliovich and a bride named Eta, daughter of Shmuel. In the Jewishgen extract, there is no father listed for Abram, and no surname for Eta. In either the Russian or Hebrew side, is there a father's name for Abram? For Eta, is there a surname anywhere? Can you confirm that her father's name was Shmuel? Thanks for any other relevant information. The Jewishgen extract can be found by searching for 'Shoeliovich' and 'Abram'. |

From Szukaj w Archiwach.
Akta 9 is my great-great-great-grandfather’s brother’s wife’s 1827 birth record from Śniadowo or Zambrów, Łomża, Poland. I would like it translated in full (or at least everything that isn’t the standard wording of a birth record).
Names that I would expect to see in the text are:
- the child’s name: Sora KROLEWIECKA;
- her father: Boruch;
- her mother: Rywka daughter of Owsiej.

I would love some help reading this diary entry from 10 January 1945. It is the only entry made for the week. I believe the last two pencilled words are Jenny and Peter - the author's wife and child. The entry was made the date before deportation to Sered concentration camp. |
