Hello,

Entry no. 434 of Eugenia Reich birth details. She was the wife of one of the founders of Nahariya in Israel, and is buried at the old Nahariya cemetery. I would very much appreciate a full translation of all the details in the entry inclduing the titles of the various columns. Thank you very much. Avi Chari

6. The father: Samuel REICH, married, innkeeper in Lwów.

7. The mother: Lea also (r=również) Leitcza? REICH, married in Lwów, daughter of Mozes SOHN, negotiator in Lwów and the deceased (in Lwów) Gitela ÖLENBERG.

8. Witness/sandek/godparent: Witnesses: Markus POMERANZ ?occupation, and Leon NYSSBAUM, merchant, both in Lwów.

9. Mohel: -

10. Midwife: Breindel POSAMENT

11. Stillbirth: -

12. Comments: Parents married in Lwów 20 April 1890, according to the Marriage Register of 1890, page 86 #85.


6/22/2026 3:28 AM A few notes/additions:

I interpret "r." after "Lea" to mean "recte," a Latin term meaning "rightly." This indicates the legal name (at least according to civil authorities) to be Leitcza, but that the mother may have been called "Lea" instead.

The first witness, Markus POMERANZ, is a restaurateur—the owner of a restaurant.

The second witness is named Leon NUSSBAUM, not NYSSBAUM.
