Ukraine Research Division
Welcome!
|
Welcome to the JewishGen Ukraine Research Division (RD). We are so glad that you are here! We look forward to helping researchers – those at the beginning of their Jewish genealogy journey as well as those who have been working on their Jewish family tree for decades – to discover information about Jewish ancestors who lived in Ukraine.
Our Mission
To identify genealogical records with Jewish content from hundreds of towns and districts in Ukraine.
To acquire records of genealogical value: census, voters, taxation, vital records and others.
To preserve copies of all genealogical records against potential destruction abroad.
To transcribe records for understanding by researchers.
To provide access to transcribed records for cost-free research on the JewishGen Ukraine Database.
