2. Town of Pyzdry. It took place on the twenty-fifth day of March in the year of eighteen fifty-one, at the hour of five in the afternoon, in the Town of Pyzdry. Appeared personally a Jew Eliasz Sorosohn, a local Rabbi, companioned by a Jew Kaskiel Karo, a fur trader, residing in Pyzdry, widower, thirty-six years of age, born here in Pyzdry* from the married couple, namely from Icek Hersz Karo, residing in Pzydry and making a living as a mohel, and Ruchla Karo nee Lachman, who at the time was not alive anymore, and by the maiden Marya Kaplan, seventeen years of age, born from the married couple, namely from Szmul Kaplan and Mirla Kaplan nee Moszkoski, both residing in this town and making a living as stallholders, still staying with her parents, and, in the presence of the parents of Marya Kaplan, as well as in the presence of witnesses Menke Bykat, a day-labourer, seventy-two years of age, and Mosiek Pacz, a bookbinder, forty-one years of age, both residing here in Pyzdry as well, stated that earlier that day, in front of him, the religious marriage had been contracted between the widower Kaskiel Karo and the maiden Marya Kaplan, and that the same marriage had been preceded by three banns, namely on the eighth, fifteenth and twenty-second day of March of the current year, in the local synagogue, and that to this marriage the verbal consent of the parents of Maryia Kaplan had taken place, and that no objections to the marriage had been raised. The newlyweds stated that that they had not made any premarital agreement between themselves. This act was read aloud to the appearers and witnesses and subsequently signed by the Rabbi Eliasz Sorosohn, the appearers Kaskiel Karo and Szmul Kaplan, and by the witnesses Menke Bykat and Moszek Pacz, because the other appearers could not write.
