Can someone translate the Hebrew on my grandfather Louis Berlin? The photo is not very clear but I’m hoping perhaps someone will be able to translate it. The cemetary Mount Carmel provided the photo.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Layb is Yiddish for lion.

‘Reb’ is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

Mordechai [MOR-deh-chigh, with the ‘ch’ as in Chanukah] is a Biblical name, from the Book of Esther.

Reuven [reh-OO-vayn] was the name of the first son of the Patriarch Jacob, and the father of the tribe of the same name.
