I'd like to know the English translation for the Hebrew words on the tombstone. also, what does the inscription "Golda Yehudis bas Aryeh Leib" mean?

‘Reb’ is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

Mordechai is a Biblical name from the Book of Esther. Chayim means life.

I believe that the first part of his father’s double name might be a ‘typo’: either the last letter was omitted, or an apostrophe – which would indicate a missing letter – was left out. Both the names Ari and Aryeh mean lion in Hebrew. However, I have not come across “Ari Layb” as a double name, whereas Aryeh Layb is very common (and, as you will see, was also the name of Goldie’s father). Layb is the Yiddish word for lion.

Some men with this double name have a secular name related to lion, such as Leo, Leonard, Leon, etc.

Golda is a Yiddish name meaning ‘the golden one’. Yehudis is Judith; Yehudis is the feminine form of the man’s name Yehuda, Judah. I believe that there is a typo here, too. The name Yehudis is missing a letter, and thus looks like Yehudas. I suppose that this could be a real name, also derived from Yehuda, but I have never encountered it.

Her father’s name, as I mentioned already, was the same (or, extremely similar) to the name of Max’s father).

You asked, “What does the inscription “Golda Yehudis bas Aryeh Leib” mean, which implies that someone has transcribed these five words. Golda Yehudis is her double Hebrew name, which I’ve explained, ‘bas’ means ‘daughter of’ and Aryeh Leib is her father’s double name, which I’ve also explained. Again, his name might have been related to lion.
