I would like help identifying the children in this photograph - or at least the time period and place where this was taken.
The only information the back, which is formatted like a postcard, are the words "FOTO BAYER".
My family came from Lithuania, but close to the border with Latvia and they moved back and forth between the countries, so it could be Latvia or Lithuania where the picture was taken.

This photo and the associated posted image of the building are one and the same place. Note the distinctive window trim and the horizontal coursing of the very finely squared timbers. In this image of the children on the front door stoop, the window shutters and outer door panels have been closed; in the building image the shutters and door panels are opened. Unusual to see window shutters in the closed position and these are especially heavy shutters with an exterior iron bar.

The building is substantial for a home, both in size and construction as well as the detailing and it has signage above the doorway suggesting commercial activity (note the railing outside presumably to secure the horses. If the photo was clearer, the signage might help in identifying a location and confirm the family name and trade associated with the building.
