This is a marriage authorisation from the Great Synagogue, London UK in 1873 of my great grandfather, Harry Ellis and Sarah Levy. I am hoping the Hebrew words may give me some further clues.
Kind regards,
Amanda Baker

3/20/2024 3:56 PM It would have been helpful to see the column headers.

The rightmost column, obviously the groom's Hebrew name, reads "Tzvi son of Yisrael". Tzvi is Hebrew for deer, and Yisrael is Israel. In case you are wondering about the "connection" between Tzvi and Harris: The Yiddish word for deer is Hirsh. Because of this, some men with the Hebrew name Tzvi have a secular name that sounds similar to Hirsh, such as Harry, Herbert, Harold, Harris, etc.

The next column to the left, the bride's Hebrew name: Sarah Rivka daughter of Yeshayahu. Rivka is Rebecca; Yeshayahu is Isaiah.

The next column might be the name of the officiating rabbi, which appears in the English as Rev. Dr. Adler. In the Hebrew, it says "The Gaon [talmudic scholar], our teacher the rabbi, __________." His name is a bit difficult to read, possibly Nisan or Noson, followed by what looks like "Katz", a possible indication that he was a Cohen. (Doing some quick Googling, I believe that this was actually British Chief Rabbi Nathan Marcus Adler, who was indeed a Cohen. You can read about him -- and his picture -- online). Rabbis in England had the title of Reverend.

The next column seems to contain two names; possibly the names of the witnesses? These are partly in shadow. The first one seems to be __ Mordechai son of Yosef Shraga ___. The second one is harder to read: The end looks like Jacobett___.

The next column is the Hebrew date: Wednesday, 11 Elul, 5633.
3/20/2024 10:16 PM The second name in the third column from the right looks to me like: Moshe --- Nissan Shach from Ekretoris.

In older European Hebrew script the letter creating the M sound is often very "squished" looking very similar to the tiny letter creating the Y sound.
In my reading, the first character in the last word on that line is "m", it could be "from" but could also be part of the name, making it sound like "Mekretoris"... could that be some kind of role in Latin?
