Jewish Cemeteries. Updates:

• Completed photographing and indexing of Phase 6 of Beltsy Jewish Cemetery and sent to JOWBR 525 burial records with 502 images. See information at the Beltsy Jewish Cemetery Report at Bessarabia SIG website at Beltsy Jewish Cemetery Report. We have now almost 5,000 burial records for Beltsy Jewish Cemetery, and more will come.

Bessarabian Databases. Updates:

• Revision Lists, plan to upload to JewishGen in December of 2019. A number of Revision List sets are going to be completed for towns of Kishinev, Khotin, Faleshty, Brichany, Beltsy, Soroki, etc, see the progress.
  

Jewish Cemeteries. Updates:

• Completed photographing and indexing of Valea-lui-Vlad Jewish Cemetery (former Jewish Agricultural colony) and sent to JOWBR 44 burial records with 44 images. Most of the inscriptions are not readable.  See information at the Valea-lui-Vlad Cemetery Report at Bessarabia SIG website at Valea-lui-Vlad Cemetery Report.

Bessarabian Databases. Updates:

• Revision Lists, plan to upload to JewishGen in December of 2019. A number of Revision List sets are going to be completed for towns of Kishinev, Khotin, Faleshty, Brichany, Beltsy, etc, see the progress. There are already 2126 records already completed.

Genealogical Articles. Updates:

• Added an article/link about The Open Databases project at the Museum of Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot. It is a great resource to find out more about our families in Bessarabia/Moldova.  You can get all family trees, photos for a particular town, or a family.  For example for town of Brichany I got 26 articles, Beltsy - 36 and Bendery - 75 even for Valea-lui-Vlad, an agricultural colony I saw 2 articles.   Here is a link to Museum of Jewish People site.

Culture, Recipes. Updates:

Jewish Cemeteries. Updates:

• Upgraded the inventory of all cemeteries in Bessarabia/Moldova. See the list from the cemetery section at the website or directly here.


• Completed photographing and indexing sector 5 in Kishinev Jewish Cemetery and sent to JOWBR 2,681 burial records with 2,441 photos. From that 339 are Unknown graves can be viewed at Bessarabia SIG website at Kishinev Jewish Cemetery Report. or directly at Kishinev Jewish Cemetery Unknown graves.

Genealogical Conferences. Updates:

• A new set of Revision lists, Family lists, Recruit lists was started for towns of Kishinev, Beltsy, Khotin and others. See progress.

Bessarabian Databases. Updates:

• Revision List set of records were sent to JewishGen in June of 2019. 10,088 records from 2,791 families were transcribed and translated from following towns: Ataki, Bendery, Faleshty, Ismail, Kishinev, Khotin, Rashkov, Romanenko colony, Soroki. See the list. We have an excelent group of translators for the Bessarabia Revision Lists. The total records we completed as of June 2019 is more then 203,000! Many thanks to our members who participated in this set translation: Alan Levine, Milla Donet, Claire Stuart, Evgeniy, Michael Richman, Ilana Voloshin, Lenya Fruman and Yefim Kogan.
