8/26/2024 9:57 AM I noticed you only received one response, thought I would take closer look. Although the stone is partially dilapidated, I can read the a few letters here and there. By filling in probable missing letters that make sense I can read the following, although I maybe off with the calendar dates.
Top row, a two letter acronym for Here Rests or Here is buried.
The Bachur hachashuv ("Hebrew words for Youth or bachelor) The word Chashuv - Important is usually used when describing a very prominent religious Jew, maybe learned, for a young person this is extremely complementary meaning his personal observance of the Mitzvos was known and respected),
Moshe Aryeh
two letter acronym for son of
Avraham Tzvi
passed on the 20th day of the Jewish Month of Tamuz in the year 5693 (since the world was created). (Gregorian Calendar = Fri, 14 July 1933)
The five letters on the bottom row are the initials of a verse "May his soul be bound in the bundle of life"
A direct quote from the Book of the Prophet Samuel / Shmuel A, 25: 29, that is traditionally engraved on Jewish tombstones.
Observations:
being that a common Yiddish sobriquet for Aryeh is Leib when you look for civil records if you see a Leyb or Lejb its probably the same person.
Also being that a common Yiddish sobriquet for Tzvi is Hirsch (Since Tzvi is Hebrew for Deer or Gazelle/ Hersch or Hirsch is German or yiddish for deer) then if you find a Civil record for Hersch or in Gersch in Russian ( No H in Russian) it could be the same person.
