This is a postcard sent to my husband's grandparents
Julius and Hertha Schloss. The other side is a picture of a gathering of friends. I am hoping this note may give a clue to the individuals on the front. A translation of the message would be appreciated.

Dear friends,
Many thanks for your kind letter – really you are too effusive yet I am glad you felt comfortable at our home. So that you don’t completely forget the day I’m sending you our picture from Sunday, which really turned out quite well. The other one at the coffee table didn’t come out well. Our heat wave has passed, in fact today it’s on the cool side. Still we could sit outside and play tennis this afternoon. The Hoffmanns are leaving tomorrow and Erna arrived yesterday for 8 days. How is your little mouth doing, Ms. Herta? [TN: Reference unclear – perhaps a toothache?] What’s your next destination? Get well soon & best regards,
Trude [? Hirschheimer ?]
Everyone here sends regards
including [? Mr. Hirschheimer ?]
