On  Response
8/24/2025 3:50 PM Here lies

the honored Mr. YEHUDA son of

Reb Eliyahu of blessed memory [this refers to the father]. He passed away

19 Sivan of the year 5647

May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.
============================================
Yehuda is Hebrew for Judah. It is spelled here with Yiddish spelling conventions, rather than with the Hebrew spelling.

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

Eliyahu is Hebrew for Elijah.

The 19th of Sivan, 5647, corresponds to June 10/11, 1887. (This answer the question of the exact year of death).
