SARAH daughter of Reb Yehuda Layb

She passed away 28 Tamuz 5707

May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.

=============================================
'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

Her father had a ‘double’ Hebrew name: Yehudah (which is Hebrew for Judah) and Layb (which is Yiddish for lion). The symbol for the tribe of Judah was a lion. Therefore, some men with either of these names have a secular name related to lion, such as Leo, Leonard, etc.
