This is a birth record for Srul Rzeznik born 18/30 August, to Maks Rzeznik, 26, and Chaia Ruchla Sztern (?), 22, reported 26 August/7 September in Kock.

Фамилия Ржезник в этом акте только у "повивальной бабки".Повивальная бабка- это женщина, которая на дому принимает роды у женщин. Вполне вероятно, что повивальные бабки были обязаны сообщать о рождении детей. В акте сказано ,что явилась повивальная бабка Михая Ржезник, 26 лет, жительница города Коцк и принесла младенца Сруля, который родился у незамужней по фамилии Штерн.

In this act, the surname Rzheznik is only mentioned in connection with a "midwife." A midwife is a woman who assists in childbirth at home. It is likely that midwives were required to report the birth of children. The act states that a midwife named Mihaya Rzheznik, aged 26, from the town of Kotsk, arrived and brought a baby named Srul, who was born to an unmarried woman named Stern.
