This should be an image of Dobra Hudwajde's death record. She was my 5x great-grandmother. Can someone please provide a direct translation? I'm especially looking for information on the name of her husband, her father, her mother, and her mother's maiden name. But I'd also love a direct translation of the entire thing, if possible.

Thank you!

On  Response
6/25/2025 3:22 PM Hello,
Please note that some words, including names, are spelled differently than in modern Polish—so the modern spelling of the last name would be “Hudwajde.” Also, it’s difficult to tell if Dobra’s listed “maiden name” was in fact a last name or just a reference to her father’s name, following the Hebrew patronymic tradition. The maiden name of the decedent's mother is unfortunately not listed.

Here is a translation:

It took place in the town of Kurów on the 1st day of March 1847, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Appeared the Jews, Hercyk Hudwayde, miller, son of the deceased, thirty-five years old; and Herszek Schilkrauth, street trader, son-in-law of the same, thirty-six years old, both living here in Kurów; and declared: that on the twenty-eighth day of February of the current year, at two o’clock after midnight, Dobra née Leybusi Hudwayde, widow of the late Szmul Hudwayde, from Wyrobki, keeping residence in the town of Kurów, sixty-eight years old; daughter of the late Leybus and Ryfka, married couple; died. — After being visually convinced of the death of Dobra Hudwayde, this act was read to the appearing parties and signed by them.
