I would greatly appreciate a translation.

I apologize for the poor quality of the scan.

There may be a few sprinklings of Hebrew. If you do not read Hebrew, please just ignore those.

Dear Julia,
although I don't have anything new to tell you, I won't have this letter posted without enclosing you my very warm regards. I am pleased to acknowledge your kind words, and will be grateful if you give me a little report on what life is like out there in America, and to which profession/trade I should apply myself with regard to leaving the country, because I don't know if בית יעקב [verb missing] for U.S.A.. I doubt it.
How are you, where do you stand with your exit issues? It was just today that we learned in Psalm 55:
מִי-יִתֶּן-לִי אֵבֶר, כַּיּוֹנָה: אָעוּפָה וְאֶשְׁכֹּנָה
Nowadays, these words have been fulfilled, don't you think? I hope to hear good news from you soon, as I wish for you, with all my heart, Rachel.
