This is a letter written by the relative of a cousin.

PLEASE NOTE: As opposed to my requests of last week (for transcriptions rather than translations), I am now requesting (only) TRANSLATIONS.

Thank you. Sorry for the plot twist.

I apologize for the poor quality of the scan.

There may be a few sprinklings of Hebrew. Feel free to ignore them.

I realize that this image contains a lot of tiny text squeezed together. If you feel that I should break similar pages into two smaller submissions in the future, please tell me.

Thank you in advance.

Dear Julia, [HEBREW]

Till now I haven’t had a chance to write you, and since Lea [HEBREW] is writing to you now I asked her to let me add to her letter. Don’t be upset that I haven’t written before but all the girls were away. Bratislava was empty so I couldn’t even get your address. But you’ve been in my thoughts often and I’ve heard all the latest news about you from Lea.

Anyway, you should really be glad you can get out of the house. It must be great to see and experience so many new things. I’d also like so much to get away from here but it’s absolutely impossible, I can’t leave home. All girls are now learning something, mostly sewing. I’d also love to learn something I can use to get ahead when I get away from here. I’m very good at sewing – I learned it [HEBREW]. What else could I learn, do you have a good idea? Maybe you’ll think of something. Julia, don’t be upset that I’m only adding on to Lea’s letter. I’ll send you an additional letter. And write back, Julia, I would love it. (And if you write back I’ll write you something in a letter that I can’t do here.) Everything else is the same as always, so there’s no news I can send you. Love,
Milka
