This is page 1 of a 2-page letter written by the relative of a cousin. (The rest of the letter will be in my next post).

PLEASE NOTE: As opposed to my requests of last week (for transcriptions rather than translations), I am now requesting (only) TRANSLATIONS.

Thank you. Sorry for the plot twist.

I apologize for the poor quality of the scan.

There may be a few sprinklings of Hebrew. Feel free to ignore them.

Thank you in advance.

Dear Julia! [HEBREW]

Hopefully you’ve already received my letter and also answered it. There’s not actually much to write about today since, as [Netty?] says, she’s already told you everything.

Right now I feel happy [HEBREW]. One day after [HEBREW] you feel good but this year the [HEBREW] were especially important for me. One day, you know, you stand before [UNRECOGNIZED] with mixed feelings and you know that today my entire life will be sealed, today will determine what is to become of me. Hopefully I’ve ordered everything the way I’d like – or rather the way [HEBREW] thinks is right. My [HEBREW] is very sweet, nice, and pious. Hopefully it will be for [HEBREW]. Today I spent the whole morning running around for my papers. It’s hard for foreigners to arrange a civil marriage. I don’t know yet when the [HEBREW] will be. I will certainly write you [HEBREW] beforehand. My [HEBREW] would like nothing better than to get married this very day but I still have some anxiety about it.
Love and kisses, Lea

As you can see I will take any opportunity to send you my best regards!
Rachel Wiener
