Informant: Ascher Gottlieb, taverner, residence Borgó Premd, whom the below-written registrar knows personally
Father: Emanuel Gottlieb, Jewish, taverner, residence Alsó-Borgó, birthplace Sztropko (Zemplén county), age 72 years
Mother: Mrs. Emánuel Gottlieb born Háni(?) Gánz(?), Jewish, homemaker, residence Ujfehértó (Szabolcs county), birthplace Marmoros Sziget, age 68 years
Birth: Alsó-Borgó, 25 January 1854, 10 a.m.
Child: boy, Jewish, Sámuel
Remark: Delayed registration made pursuant to order number 59 dated 26 July 1902 of the Jaád district chief administrator. Informant is the father's uncle and was entrusted in writing with making the report by the interested party who is away.

To be clear: my pedantic objection to "birth certificate" is that this isn't a certificate. It's not a free-standing individual document. It's an entry in a register-book.

Yes, it's a minor quibble, but I find that things generally work better if you get into the habit of using the right words. :-)
