Looking for a translation of the right side please. I suspect that this person was born last name Khlavnovitz, father either Shmuel or Shmuilo or Shimsel. Any information on her maiden name or father's name would be most helpful. Thanks!

5/11/2025 1:58 PM Unfortunately, a woman's maiden name rarely appears in the Hebrew text on her tombstone.

Her Hebrew name was Miriam.

Her father was Shmuel [SHMOO-ayl], which is Hebrew for Samuel.

If you'd like a complete translation of all of the text, please let me know.

------------------------------------------------------
Here lies

our mother and my wife

MIRIAM daughter of Reb Shmuel

A woman who feared G-d

Doing good deeds all of her days

She passed away 6 Adar 5710

May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.
-----------------------------------------------------
Miriam [MIR-yam] is a Biblical name. She was the sister of Moses and Aaron.

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.
