The Jewish section in "Friendship Cemetery" is known as "Covenant Cemetery". The cemetery was purchased by Congregation B'nai Israel in 1850. Congregation B'nai Israel was organized in 1879 and is currently a member of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations.
