Translation, please, of this first letter which my grandfather Robert Oling tried to send from the prison in Dresden to Mathilde Rosner on 26 February 1938. I cannot find a document to state that the letter was censored, but it does not appear to have been sent. Thank you. Carol

Hello Carol,
There is a passage on this page highlighted in pencil which seems like it might be the cause of the letter getting stuck in the censor's office. The passage is translated below.
If you're still interested in a full translation and no other volunteer provides one, you're welcome to contact me and I'd be happy to prepare a transcription and translation of both pages for $45.

I didn't do anything bad or cause any trouble. One of my tenants (who caused over 3000 marks of back-rent) slandered me - for the third time. I give you my word that I didn't do or say anything bad. It's pure retribution because I evicted the tenant from his living and business space.
