I need help accurately translating lines 2, 3 and 4. I think I have the rest correct.

Here lies

A man who was well-known and praised in the gates [of his city]

For he acted only with justice and was honest

He loved the Torah and supported those who built [studied] her

And with all his heart and his might he kept her commandments

Lo, he is Rabi MOSHE son of Elchanan

He died on the 10th of Sivan, 5663 [June 4/5, 1903] and was buried the next day.

The phrase “noda l’shem ul’tehila” is quite common, and means that the person was widely known and greatly respected

Darach (not “derech”) maysharim literally translates to “he walked in a straight manner”, but means that he was honest.

The fourth lines reads
אהב את התורה ותמך את בוניה
(you omitted the last word)

I believe that there may be a typo in the fifth line; it should read
ובכל לבבו ומאדו קים את מצותיה
In other words, the third word should have an Alef, not an Ayin. This phrase comes from the Shema: v’ahavta et Hashem elokecha bechol levavcha uvechol nafshecha uvechol meodecha. “bechol Me’odecha”, which is spelled with an Alef, is interpreted in different ways. One interpretation is “with all of your money”; another is “with all of your might”.

I am not sure how to interpret the “rabi” in front of his name. If it meant “rabbi”, it would more likely say (spelled out): Rav. It might therefore be a title of respect due to his great piety, knowledge, and contributions.

Again, I do not see the abbreviation for “may his soul be bound up in the bond of life”.
