***It is interesting to note that the name for the father is the same as that of the deceased. This is NOT usual per Jewish custom. Either 1) There is a mistake in the name of the father. 2) This family did not follow Jewish naming customs. 3) The father had died before the son was born. 4. I have not deciphered the father's name correctly.

My guess on the father's name is that Mr. Lövinger made a mistake, because as Jo says, Jewish custom does not re-use the names of living relatives.

There is a correction to my translation.....The word "nehai" (with the proper diacritic marks) means THE LATE rather than widow or widower. Glad that it was caught by the second translator....Jo
