Most of the very lengthy text on this stone contains lines of praise. I am extracting all of the relevant details to help you determine is this was your great-grandfather.

His Hebrew names was MOSHE and his father's Hebrew name was Shmuel. Both men have an abbreviation in front of their names that represents the words "our teacher, the rabbi". This normally means that they had rabbinical ordination; they were not necessarily rabbis of a congregation or community. (I need to point out that sometimes this abbreviation was used in error. However, based on the rest of the text, I would say that whoever composed it was very knowledgeable).

The date of death was the 7th day of Passover of the year 5666, a Monday. The 7th day of Passover is always on the 21st day of the month of Nisan. In the year 5666, the 21st of Nisan began at sunset on April 15th, 1906,a Sunday, and ended at sunset on the 16th, a Monday (this would be considered "Monday" according to the Jewish calendar).

The following facts are also given: He died in the prime of his life, leaving behind his wife and five children.
