Would appreciate a complete translation of the tombstone of Ella Block, who died on Sept 3 1918 apparently in childbirth.

The stone has recently been cleaned and I hope the lettering is clear enough to decipher.

Yes, sadly what you wrote is true. Here is the translation, some of which is a bit poetic:

Here lies

A woman of tender years and young in days,

she is our dear daughter

Mrs. ELKA daughter of Reb Shlomo Chayim

She sent out the fruit of her womb and after this went to her world

On Wednesday, 27 Elul of the year 5675.

May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.
----------------------------------------------------
'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

The 27th of Elul of the year 5675 began at sunset on September 3rd, 1918, and ended at sunset on the 4th. As the secular date on the stone is the 3rd, this means that she passed away between sunset and midnight of that day.
