His father's name is one that I have not seen before. Hebrew is written without vowels; Shatfan is therefore a guess. In addition, the first letter can have either an SH sound or an S sound (SH is more common). The vowels as they appear are either SH-T-F-N or S-T-F-N.

There is a possibility that this is actually his father's secular name, in which case it could be read as Stefan.

Most probably the Hebrew name is a Hebrew-letter rendering of the German Stefan.
In German words and names "St" in the beginning is pronounced "Sht".

And, since Oded (Hebrew name) is given in Latin letters as Otto, a German name, I really have practically no doubt that his father was Stefan.
