This was from Gerszon Faktor's 1916 Lodz Registration card.

12/8/2021 1:26 PM	The language is Polish -- I've the term in documents written in Polish. Google translate says it's "a merchant". You may want to ask for a translation from Polish. It's not German.
12/9/2021 1:26 PM	Part of it is in German: Stand or Berufsstellung: handlarr (or handlarz?) Economic position or job assignment: merchant "handlarr" sounds like untrained grammar and a common dialect for "Händler", which would be "merchant" then. I do not know Polish, I speak Austrian German. Maybe try the opinion of a Polish person as well.
