This is the tombstone of my great great great grandfather. Sorry for the angles image. I cannot find the cemetery, so this is the best photo I have. I would like the Hebrew translated. I believe I have figured out his father's name, but I would like confirmation on my (limited) abilities to translate the Hebrew. Thank you.

Here lies

A man who walked in honesty

One who possessed good characteristics; he loved the Torah

Reb MOSHE son of Nachum Layb Smigel

Who went to his world [passed away] at the age of 53 years

To the sorrow of his wife, his sons, and his daughters, who mourn

He passed away 9 days into the month of Adar of the year 5666

May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

His father's name was Nachum Layb. Nachum is a Biblical name (one of the minor prophets). The root of the word means to comfort. Layb is a Yiddish name meaning wolf. Some men with this name have the secular name of Wolf or Wolfgang or something similar.

Layb is Yiddish but it does not mean wolf. rather it means lion. Common secular names would be Leo or Louis.
