Category: Translation - Hebrew Approval Date: 11/14/2021 12:27 PM Family Surname: Lewin, Reisfeld, Schmelkes Country: Poland Town: Brody, Lwöw Date of Image: 1808-1817	Click the picture to enlarge	This is page 11 of the index of Records of the Beth Din of Brody 1808-1817. I am looking for records of the LEWIN, REISFELD and SCHMELKES families. I wonder if any of these names appear in the index: Rabbi Asher Zelig Reisfeld, born around 1795. Rabbi Asher’s son Chaskel Abraham Reisfeld, born on 8 November 1815. Hersch Naphtali Löwe / Lewin, born around 1784 Hersch’s son Naphtola Löw / Lewin, born around 1811. The Reisfeld, Lewin and Schmelkes families of Brody were religious and they were prosperous. There are likely to be marriage records, property records, wills, etc. The scans are clearest if pulled off and then adjusted for size. I can send the original link from the Library of the Jewish Theological Seminary, New York if anyone is interested.
