(The last one I posted was a full image,for context, but may have been difficult to read.) I would like to know: 1. what the census taker recorded for the head of household’s occupation. 2. what the numbers mean above his occupation. Thank you very much.

11/14/2021 10:33 PM	Looks like Valance-maker to me. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/valance And people did have these very specialized jobs: tie maker, belt maker etc. I have no idea what the numbers mean.
11/15/2021 8:37 PM	There are two words the second is maker the first is slightly hard to read but most characters are very clear; as written, it seems to say Talnad(s) (I see no other reading for the first 5 characters and not much alternative for the next); there seems to have been a misspelling of the real word; any ideas?
