It took place in the town of Ostrołęka on the 10th/22nd April 1852, at 6 P. M. Appearing was Jew Herszek Ickowicz Dzbanek, resident of Ostrołęka, nail merchant (or nail maker), age 24, and in the presence of witnesses, Jews Jankel Ejzenbarg, trader, age 33 and Herszek Wolozyn, a hatmaker, age 18, both residing in Ostrołęka, and presented us a male child born in Ostrołęka on March 14th/26th of the current year at 8 AM of his wife Haszka nee Blachowicz?? (image obscured), age 23, who during circumcision was given the name Lejb. The act was read to the appearing and the witnesses and signed by the witnesses; the father declared that he cannot write.

Note [JAS]. The appears to be an error in the original index translation which gives the child's name as Lejba ie a girl. I will see if I can get this corrected.
