Reb Yosef son of Reb Yehudah Layb

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

Re Emily's father: Yosef is Hebrew for Joseph, and Eliyah is Hebrew for Elijah. Eliyah is a less common form of the name, which is more commonly Eliyahu.

(Of course, this does NOT necessarily mean that her father's secular name was Joseph Elijah or anything similar. Often, Jewish and secular names have no obvious correspondence).

Re Josephs' father: Yehudah is Hebrew for Judah, and Layb is Yiddish for lion. These two names are often found together, as the symbol of the tribe of Yehudah is a lion. Men with this name often have a secular name related to lion, such as Leo, Leon, Leonard, etc. Again, his secular name may have been completely different.
