We believe that Nathan, my aunt's father, was born near Odessa on 23 July 1893, but we don't know his parents' names or other details.

10/31/2021 12:12 PM	Here lies Reb NOACH, son of Reb David the Cohen He passed away 3 Adar 5721 May his soul be bound up in the bond of life. ================================================= 'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi. His name, Noach, is Hebrew for Noah He and his father were Cohanim (plural of Cohen), members of the priestly tribe that traces back, son to father, to Aaron, Moses' brother.
