Category: Translation - Hebrew Approval Date: 10/31/2021 11:44 AM Family Surname: Gordon/Gornitski/Smigel/Smigelski	Click the picture to enlarge	I believe this is my great great grandmother's headstone, but need some help translating the Hebrew. I am hoping it includes her parents' names.

Here lies

the soft-hearted woman

CHANNAH daughter of Reb Yitzchak Yosef

She passed away 18 Tamuz 5713

May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

Yitzchak Yosef is Hebrew for Isaac Joseph. Of course, this does not necessarily mean that either of these were her father's secular name. (The mother's name rarely appears on traditional Jewish tombstones).
