It came to pass in the city of Lublin on the 19th day of July 1839 at 3:00 PM that there appeared [before us] the Jew Zelman Aszkenaze, the local rabbi, along with the Jews Fiszel Lubliner, a laborer, a widower residing in Lublin, age 45, born here in Lublin, son of Icko Lubliner and the late Łaja (née Szymon), the couple residing here in Lublin and supporting themselves from the baking profession, and Itta Zelda Sznajderszer, a single woman, age 18, daughter of the late Szaja Sznajderszer, a laborer, & Krayzla (née Aron?), who, during their lives, resided in Lubartów where she was born, and she has thus far been living with her maternal uncle Berek Grosman, shoemaker in Lubartów, and here, with the approval of Berek Grosman, Itta Zelda’s maternal uncle, in the presence of witnesses Fajwel Moszko Baum, children’s tutor, age 37, and Chaim Ehlman, carpenter, age 32, also residing here, and testified that before him on this day a religious marriage was concluded between Fiszel Lubliner & Itta Zelda Sznajderszer and that this marriage was preceded by three marriage banns announced on Fiszel Lubliner’s side on the 22nd and 29th of June and the 6th of July of the current year in the Lublin synagogue by the local rabbi and from the side of Itta Zelda Sznajderszer on the 1st, 8th and 15th of June of the current year in the Lubartów synagogue by the local rabbi there. Consent for this union was verbally expressed by Berek Grosbaum who was present here, the maternal uncle of the newlywed couple and the newlyweds stated that they had not concluded any prenuptial agreement between them. This document was read out to the petitioner and to the witnesses by Rabbi Zelman Aszkinaze and signed by Fiszel Lubliner, Berek Grosbaum the uncle, Fajwel Moszko Baum and Chaim Ehlman; Itta Zelda Sznajderszer does not know how to write.
