As commonly known, the Jew is everything in Galicia. He is a citizen. He’s is the foot (lower/lowest class), the principle of the urban population. His ésprit de corps (fr.) alone enables him to drive out everything around him that has to do with industry. The experience speaks for itself. He has always been a hindrance to the expansion of urban industry. But since all sorts of civic trades/businesses have been opened for Jews -with no means to ever reduce their numbers and with the overwhelming probability that their amount will grow from year to year - also disappears the possibility of the thought of successfully settling foreign fabricants and craftsmen, even with all the support, in cities where Jews live.
