It came to pass in the settlement of Wyszków on the 13th/25th day of April 1879 at 10:00 AM that there appeared [before us] the Jew Wigdor Dzbanek, age 55, laborer, and, in the presence of witnesses Wolf Cembała and Josek Mydlarz, both age 53, all residents of the settlement of Wyszków, the former a synagogue sexton, the latter a laborer, showed us a child of male gender, stating that he was born here in the settlement of Wyszków on the 12th/24th of March 1866 at 5:00 PM to his lawful wife Gitel (née Malowana), age 53. This child was given the name Srul Hersz. The delay in reporting this birth was due to the parents’ negligence. This document was read out to the petitioner and the witnesses and duly signed only by us, as the father and the witnesses are illiterate.
