It came to pass in the settlement of Praszka on the 28th of September 1898 at 10:00 AM that there appeared [before us] in person the Jew Dawid Józefowicz, a trader, age 34, and, in the presence of Józef Sudowicz, age 71, and Icek Geller, age 58, homeowners, all residing in Praszka, and showed us a child of male gender, stating that it had been born in Praszka on the 23rd of September of the current year to his legal wife Tauba (nee Peluzel or Pędzel[?]), age 33. This child at a religious ceremony was given the name Lajzer. This document, after being read out, was completed and signed.
